When folded, it barely takes up as much space as a chair!

And yes, we know that having to assemble your own fitness equipment isn't what you might call fun. At Decathlon, we work hard to offer sturdy products that anyone can put together. And that's why we decided to make this product more accessible by assembling it directly at the factory.

That's right! It's all ready to go - just take it out of the box and start your workout!

CLEVER ELASTIC PULLING SYSTEM

This Rowing Machine 100 also features an innovative pulling design with elastic bands so that rowing feels as smooth as with a traditional rower. We spent a long time testing the elastic bands to make sure they are sturdy and durable. They are guaranteed for three hours of weekly rowing. We created a clever system that lets you swap out the bands if you want more or less resistance.

The product is supplied with two bands:
- Moderate resistance
- High resistance

Not enough resistance for me

I bought this in April 2020 and basically gave up using it as it didn't offer me enough resistance on either band. I am 5ft 1. I think the basic problem is that my legs are relatively short so my stroke does not stretch the band as far as a taller person might therefore resistance is less. (I used to enjoy rowing at the gym on a Concept2 rower.) My husband who is 5ft 11 has taken over using it. He uses it as a 'warm-up'. So am essentially disappointed in it. Basically though it looks like a rowing machine its action in my opinion is essentially stretching a band.

Machine itself is good design but the resistance bands wear out quickly. That would be fine if you could order more but they are never in stock and when I managed to purchase replacement bands
at the Decathlon online store they could not fulfill the delivery and cancelled the sale.

The seat is pretty loose. I’m only 70 kg and have used this for less than a month but the seat scrapes across the inner edges of the rower so much so that it scratches the paint off/impedes the rowing motion. Really disappointing

There is nothing wrong with this rowing machine, the movement is smooth and the tension on the weaker band is similar to others I have used in the down the Gym........ so this could be an option if you are looking for economy of space as it is foldable too.

I am so sorry for your experience with the basic manual rower. The issue that you highlighted is the same as what we identified with a few of the rowers not able to maintain their committed user weight. It's a common misunderstanding we have while choosing the basic one since the module isn't developed to withstand user weight over 70KG, for intensive use. Very easy to use. Solid build but … wish it could deliver more resistance… hardly broke a sweat eventhough rowing as fast as I could for 45 minutes.

Compact but needs better finishing

Its a very nice compact model, easy to store and use. But the seat design needs a lot more improvement. The seat gets stuck in the rods they roll on quite often and most of the time there's a bad friction under the seat that spoils the flow of the excersize

Good bec it is foldable. I think it was the reason i lost five lbs just after 180 mins of rowing. Hehe. However, I dont like the noisy sound of the seat now - dunno why it is noisy now.
