We recommend getting your bike serviced at least once a year, depending on how much you use it (you might need more regular services if you ride every day), to prevent any of the parts breaking or wearing out prematurely.

This service includes

checking that the handlebar, stem, saddle and screws are tight; adjusting the stem, the headset and the angle of the brake lever, and tightening the brake lever; adjusting the front and rear brake pads and brake cables; tightening up the cranks, pedals and chainrings; truing the wheels and adjusting the wheel hub axles.
