Resistant soles for walking trails
Our hiking boots are designed for use on hiking trails. Indeed, the components of the sole and upper of our boots are selected and tested to ensure that they are as well suited as possible to hiking on soft trails (e.g. dirt paths in forests) or stony trails (rocky coastal footpaths). Road use (tarmac) may lead to premature wear on your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain walking.
Tested for optimal durability
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated ageing.
These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.
Which pair of socks are suitable for Quechua NH900 Fresh shandals?
You can wear these shandals without socks. However, if you do want to wear some, we recommend choosing a pair of polyamide, cotton-free socks. Polyamide is a fibre that is specially chosen for its capacity to eliminate moisture. We therefore recommend Newfeel WS500 Fresh socks.

Test product
It’s in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc, that our design team conceives, designs and creates Quechua products. We test them in the field with other hikers, to check their comfort and durability. Fontainebleau forest, Brittany or in Corsica for example. We go to as many different places as possible, in all weather conditions. This creates plenty of opportunities for discussions to get your feedback which is used to plan our future products!

These shandals were tested and approved by a dozen or so testers in June 2021 in the Var on the Côte d'Azur.
In order to meet your requirements, Quechua products are tested in the wild in the conditions you encounter during your hikes.
Our teams, as well as a panel of testers (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers), test the products throughout their development right up until they are marketed.
