Sun protection and new interior finish
UPF 50+ component: blocks at least 98% of UVB rays and 95% of UVA.
We have changed the interior finish, or coating. It is now white for optimal protection on all colours. This new coating also makes it possible to use less energy during the production phase.
Behaviour when in the sun
Although this cover provides protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflections (from the water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc., must be taken into account. The use of this shelter does not exempt the user from following the relevant advice: wear a UV protection T-shirt, wear sunglasses, wear a hat or cap, regularly apply an appropriate sun cream, drink regularly, etc.
Resistance to wind
The Paruv 160 parasol can withstand winds of up to 20 km/h when the tube is pushed 25 cm into the sand.
The screw-on orange foot, which is available separately, increases wind resistance by 10 km/h.
Tilting umbrella with Tilt accessory sold separately.
All PARUV parasols can be tilted to 35° and 50° using the "Tilt incline paruv" accessory. This is sold separately and exclusively through the Decathlon network.
